Polychromal INTF uses advanced machining techniques and proven production methods for the production of bespoke graphic and technical plate work products. With an extensive machine park we can perform many operations in-house. As such, our sister division Polychromal Products supplies the aluminium base plates and we have our own anodising line. This allows us to respond quickly to your specific requirements and we have maximum control over the production process. As well as the production, Polychromal INTF can also think along in terms of the design in order to assist you with drawing or DTP activities.
DTP / Work preparation
Polychromal INTF has its own dtp department which is combined with the work preparation. It’s here where everything is digitally prepared and where corrections or additions to files are made if required. The department also provides advice on colour use, finishing and printing methods to be used. Polychromal INTF hereby ensures that production is tailored to your specific product, the print run and the desired durability.
Printing
Digital printing in anodised aluminium is on the rise. Printing images in aluminium from a computer can de done using an industrial inkjet flat bath printer and suitable plates. For top quality in digital printing we have developed DuraSeal and DuraPor base plates. Together with the DuraColour inks, these plates offer crisp details, sleek solid surfaces and smooth colour gradations. DuraSeal and DuraPor are available in various plate and anodised skin thicknesses and with three surface structures. DuraPor works with any printer that is suitable for printing in aluminium.
With the right printing ink or paste, almost any material can be printed with screen printing technology. Such as many plastics & metal. This technique can also be used for printing in the open pores of anodised aluminium. Called "Subsurface printing". Highly suited to small and middle series.
In engraving a print of an image or text is engraved into a metal or plastic plate. The engraved parts can be inlaid with a colour lacquer.
In laser marking a print of an image or text in aluminium, plastic or other materials is marked by the laser source. These markings cannot be inlaid with a colour lacquer. In anodised aluminium the marking is white.
Surface treatments
An electrolytic process where aluminium is converted to aluminium oxide at the surface. This has a very nice decorative look. Is strong, scratch resistant, solvent and weather resistant. If desired, the surrounding panels and other aluminium objects can also be anodised.
Chromating is used as a substrate layer for the purpose of the spraying of panels and/or to protect them against oxidation or to make front panels conductive. The latter usually takes place on the back of a panel.
Mechanical operations and mounting
A CNC-controlled milling machine to provide extremely accurate panels and other objects from cut-outs etc. Highly suited to small and medium series.
Bending/folding of plate material and or folding of housings.
Mounting of workpieces can be done by us.
