Aluminium HOUSINGProduction / manufacture of bespoke aluminium industrial housings, made of plate material, with a durable and long-lasting finish. Polychromal makes cabinets and housings for instruments and devices that may or may not feature EMC shielding, integrated control components and/or plastic windows such as by Lexan. |

Housing for example electronics or instruments
The housings that Polychromal makes for its clients are fully coordinated with the product’s functional requirements.
Bespoke housing
Polychormal INTF uses different processing techniques, so that your bespoke housing can be efficiently produced.
Anodised with or without print
Aluminium cabinets are provided with a highly scratch-resistant surface by means of anodisation and the desired print or graphic elements are included. All kinds of (full colour) images can be applied to the aluminium with highly durable results.
Applications
The bespoke Polychromal housings cover a wide variety of applications including housings for devices, cameras, instruments, electronics etc.
Commission aluminium housing by Polychromal
Housing will always be produced according to your specifications with options of single pieces, small or medium-sized print runs. Manufacturing prototypes always takes place in close consultation with the customer.
Anodising
An electrolytic process where aluminium is converted to aluminium oxide at the surface. This has a very nice decorative look, is strong, scratch resistant, solvent and weather resistant. If desired, the surrounding panels can also be anodised.
Digital printing in aluminium
With this technique, it is possible to print directly in anodised aluminium plates with the ink being absorbed into the plate. The result is a plate with sublime scratch resistance. A technique that is very suitable for print runs with an alternate image.
Screen printing
Screen printing of texts and graphic images in anodised aluminium and on other carriers.
Chromating
Chromating is used as a substrate layer for the purpose of spraying panels and/or to protect them against oxidation or to make front panels conductive. This treatment technique is performed in-house.
Chemical etching
Intensification in stainless steel panels by means of chemical etching. The etched (intensified) parts can be inlaid with a colour lacquer.
CNC milling
A CNC-controlled milling machine to provide extremely accurate panels from cut-outs. Highly suited to small and medium series.
Angle bending and angle folding
A 2D plate can be transformed into a 3D shape with angle bending and folding. Panels can hereby be provided with mounting tabs or the entire front panel or control panel can be executed in cabinet/container form.
Engraving
With our modern CNC-controlled milling and engraving machines, images can be engraved in the aluminium. This creates a relief that can be inlaid with a colour lacquer. With laser-guided engraving machines, images can also be marked.
Lacquering
Plates for housing that are etched or engraved can be inlaid or filled with a colour lacquer. Polychromal INTF has various techniques at its disposal in order to do so.
Lasering
With a CO2 laser you can mark anodised aluminium plates of all kinds of colours. The lasered image shows white. Many types of plastic can also be cut with this.
Assembly
Assembling composite housing. Housing can be provided with a spacer on top of which is a polyester or polycarbonate foil or a thin aluminium plate. The application of print plate holders and studs is also possible.
